I’m tired,
Tired to justify my purpose
And the path I’ve chosen
I’m tired
Lost in the wind,
My bones frozen,
With the crows waiting,
I hope for a quick relief
Through the storm,
Lunar phantoms,
Fixing me intensely,
I’m not alone anymore
All around me,
Like floating corpses,
All of them gathered,
Raped, burnt or hanged,
United in their fate,
And silently,
By a unanimous jury,
I’m sentenced… to death
They haunt me,
Lanterns in the the dark,
I'm losing it,
Blinding light of thee
I'm the fallen
Of a nevergreen era,
Storms I have sown,
Lives I have stolen
Their silence is deafening,
Filthy shadows from the past,
With a coat made of bones
And a crown made of worms
The ruins I have made,
Never ending penance,
From the shadows I shall bear,
To the dawn of acceptance
A truly stellar death/doom album with heavy doses of black metal. Tracks like Isolation, Child of Light, and Broken Hymns deliver the sorrowful and icy tone of this album, elevated by the stirring cello compositions of Raphael Weinroth-Browne. The album delivers a deeply satisfying crescendo in Becoming Intangible before stirring the soul once again with Epilogue. Matt Richardson
